Cynthia Alma Peña Teacher Scholarship 

Cynthia, who passed on June 8, 2014, was a resident of Pacific Grove, California, and a long time Special Education teacher in the Alisal Union School District, in Salinas.  As a board member of 11 years with the California Teachers Association, Cynthia was passionate about fighting for public education and speaking up for students.

Your gift will help create a permanent endowment fund in her name to provide much needed financial support for students in the teaching credential program at CSUMB. Gifts are tax deductible to the extent of the law. In the event that the endowment does not reach the $25,000 minimum, all contributions will still support scholarships for teaching credential students.
